Funding Transparency

The Institute for Democratic Discourse is a nonprofit organization recognized as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax-deductible under Section 170 to the extent permitted by law. EIN: 41-3838112.

We are committed to transparency and accountability in our funding. We disclose our funding practices clearly and operate in accordance with applicable nonprofit reporting requirements.

While we respect the privacy of individual donors, we do not permit donors and funding organizations to direct, control, or influence our research, publications, programs, or public positions. Financial contributions do not confer editorial input, governance authority, or preferential treatment.

Our goal is to advance freedom of expression, pluralism, and open inquiry.

We reserve the right to decline or return donations or grants that are inconsistent with our mission, values, or commitment to independence and nonpartisanship.
